Position Information
Concord High School is a dynamic 7–12 comprehensive co‐educational school of over 1150 students, including 70% of students from a language background other than English and international students. Current school focuses include academic achievement, literacy, numeracy and student attendance within a supportive welfare environment. This includes wellbeing programs such as Positive Learning. Specific Selection Criteria
* Approval to teach Society and Culture/International Studies and Studies of Religion.
* Ability to develop, implement and evaluate high quality HSIE teaching and learning programs that are differentiated to meet the needs of diverse learners, including HPGE, EALD and students requiring additional learning support.
* Evidence of highly effective classroom practice that fosters high expectations, student engagement and positive behaviour, with demonstrated ability to monitor student progress and use both school based and external data to inform teaching practice and support student growth.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
