As a Home Lending Specialist, you'll leverage your proven lending expertise to support Greater Bank and Newcastle Permanent customers who choose to engage with us in a non‑face‑to‑face environment. You'll guide them through our full suite of award‑winning lending products and services while working toward key performance goals. We have opportunities across both brands that offer the flexibility of a hybrid work model.
What will your key responsibilities include?
* Conduct lending interviews, assess serviceability, and confidently present Greater Bank and Newcastle Permanent products while addressing customer queries.
* Guide customers through digital loan applications, ensuring smooth progression and clear, timely updates.
* Actively follow up leads from all channels and action referrals and applications in line with non–face‑to‑face lending policies to drive strong loan outcomes.
* Maintain strong product, policy, and industry knowledge to support accurate advice and competitive positioning.
* Complete accurate loan data entry and prepare files for credit assessment in accordance with NGM Group standards.
* Represent Greater Bank and Newcastle Permanent in the community through local engagement and relationship‑building activities.
* Manage and resolve customer complaints professionally, escalating when required.
* Contribute to a collaborative, high‑performing environment by actively engaging in team initiatives and projects.
What are we looking for?
* Lending experience in retail and/or commercial environments, with confidence interpreting credit policy.
* A customer‑first mindset with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage confidently across phone, online, email and webchat.
* Confident working across multiple systems to progress applications efficiently, with strong Microsoft skills and a tech‑savvy, adaptable approach to change.
* Solid understanding of financial statements and lending fundamentals.
* Proven success achieving lending targets and promoting third party products.
* Natural relationship‑builder who represents the brands confidently in the community.
* Consultative communicator with excellent written and verbal skills and strong attention to detail.
* A strong collaborator who builds effective internal relationships and works confidently both within a team and independently
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
* FSRA Tier 2 accreditation (or willingness to obtain).
