We're working with a major NSW Government department on a critical SAP asset management implementation, and we're seeking a skilled Project Engineer to provide essential engineering and asset management expertise. This is a key role ensuring that infrastructure assets like tunnels, bridges, and ferries are accurately represented and maintained in the new system.
Key Responsibilities
* Work with SAP project teams to align system design with engineering requirements
* Define and structure asset hierarchies, functional locations, and equipment data
* Review, validate, and support work management processes (preventive and corrective maintenance)
* Assist with system testing (including UAT), defect resolution, and data validation
* Engage internal stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure operational alignment
* Contribute to training documentation and change management communications
About You
* Engineering background in civil, structural, mechanical, or related discipline
* Experience with asset-intensive infrastructure (e.g., transport, utilities, or similar)
* Strong understanding of asset and maintenance workflows
* Familiarity with SAP (or similar EAM / CMMS systems)
* Confident in stakeholder engagement and process validation
* Strong documentation and testing support skills
