Lifestyle Assistant Position
Job Overview
Regis Bunbury is seeking a skilled and compassionate Lifestyle Assistant to enhance the well-being of our residents. The successful candidate will work closely with the care team to develop engaging lifestyle programs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with the care team to design and implement activities tailored to individual needs and preferences, promoting physical, intellectual, emotional, cultural, and social well-being
* Assist in the delivery of activities, ensuring they are enjoyable and meaningful for all participants
* Prepare thorough and accurate assessments of residents' lifestyles and interests
* Document resident participation and engagement in a timely manner
* Develop strong relationships with residents, families, and volunteers through regular communication and interaction
* Facilitate opportunities for residents to engage with their community, promoting social connections and a sense of belonging
Requirements:
* Demonstrated understanding of leisure and lifestyle programming, including knowledge of Aged Care Quality Standards
* Relevant certification or training in Leisure and Health
* Previous experience in a similar role, particularly in dementia care, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Proven ability to use computerized care management systems, with outstanding literacy and documentation skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse individuals
