Job Description
This role is perfect for a detail-oriented and proactive individual with 3–5 years' experience in finance/administration. You will be responsible for supporting the in-house finance team, primarily servicing their key mining client.
* Process accounts payable, expense claims, and payment runs in Xero and Pronto
* Manage intercompany journals and payments
* Assist with payroll (Australia & PNG) and liaise with external accountants
* Support month-end close: journals, accruals, and group reporting
* Assist with BAS, GST, and tax submissions
* Reconcile multi-currency bank and credit card accounts
* Manage PNG cash advances and reconciliations
Required Skills and Qualifications
* 3–5 years' finance/admin experience, including 1–2 years using Xero
* Solid understanding of AP, AR, payroll, and statutory reporting
* Strong Excel and general MS Office skills
* Organised, self-motivated, and solutions-focused
* Excellent communication and coordination skills
* Experience with PNG operations is advantageous
* Financial qualifications from a recognised institution preferred
