About the role
We are seeking a part-time School Community Liaison to join the team at Elonera Montessori School in Mount Ousley, NSW. This important role will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with our school community, including parents, caregivers and local organisations.
What you'll be doing
* Organise and facilitate community events, information sessions and fundraising nights to engage families and strengthen connections
* Responding to prospective parent enquiries via email and phone.
* Performing administrative tasks to facilitate admissions, such as reviewing applications, scheduling interviews and keeping records up to date
* Coordinating and running school tours and open days
* Contributing to the school's marketing plan, and overseeing digital advertising including social media
* Working closely with school leadership to ensure smooth operations and the long-term future of the school
* Assist with the coordination of volunteer programs and activities
* Editing and formatting external publications such as handbooks, annual reports and marketing materials
What we're looking for
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and relate well to people from diverse backgrounds
* Strong organisational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and priorities
* Prior experience in community engagement, sales, administration or marketing roles
* Confident computer skills, with a focus on diligent record keeping and creative tools such as Canva.
* Familiarity with the education sector and an understanding of the needs and challenges faced by school communities
* Demonstrated commitment to the principles of Montessori education and a passion for supporting the holistic development of children
* Relevant qualifications in areas such as education, social work, or community development would be highly regarded
