As a Quality Engineer at Built, you will support and advise our Construction Projects to drive the implementation of "Built Right" principles and the Built Quality Management System to achieve great technical quality outcomes.
Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Responsibilities
Bid-Phase Quality Reviews – advising on Quality Risk and developing actions for tenders you are assigned.
Quality Design Reviews – providing advice to Design Teams on details and products to achieve quality.
Project Quality Start-Up – educating projects on Built's Quality Management Systems, helping to prevent issues with critical high-risk trades and implementing and reporting on quality controls.
Pre-Commencement Assessments – Reviewing contract documents, assisting Engineers with review of subcontractor quality documentation.
Undertaking on-site and off-site quality inspections and coaching Supervisors and Engineers.
Helping to establish a submissions process to track technical submissions, samples, warranties and approvals required by the contract documents and reviewing submissions for conformance.
Non-conformances – reviewing all non-conformances raised by project teams for continual improvement.
Defects – establishing a process to record, track and manage defects for the life of the project.
Undertaking Project QMS Audits and assisting with Audits of Fabricators and Subcontractors where necessary.
Qualifications
Technical knowledge of how to build.
Significant experience and/or technical qualifications.
Process orientated with an eye for detail.
Solid experience in a Quality Assurance or related supervisory role in construction.
Demonstrated understanding of relevant Construction Australian Standards and the Building Code of Australia.
Your ability to show initiative, adapt to changing situations and your innovative mindset will hold you in good stead.
