We are looking for a part-time Sales Assistant (approximately 30 hours per week) to join our team at the Wangaratta store. The Sales Assistant will greet customers, provide solutions, handle payments, and replenish stock while maintaining high visual merchandising standards.
This position involves working across a rotating roster in our 6-day trading store (Monday - Saturday).
Responsibilities:
1. Provide service, advice, and product solutions to trade and retail customers.
2. Tint paint products according to customer requirements.
3. Manage inventory, including goods receiving and stocktaking.
4. Take orders in-store and via phone.
5. Replenish stock, including 15L paint drums.
6. Build strong relationships with repeat customers and colleagues.
7. Stay informed about the latest colour forecasts and product releases.
8. Assist with visual displays, store presentation, and housekeeping.
9. Follow safe work practices.
About you:
1. Hold a valid driver's license for local deliveries.
2. Possess strong communication skills.
3. Have a genuine desire to deliver outstanding service.
4. Experience in customer service roles.
5. Experience with stock handling and merchandising.
6. Capable of manual tasks, including lifting 15L cans of paint.
7. Familiar with Point of Sale (POS) systems or tech-savvy.
8. Numeracy skills to handle POS transactions and understand tint percentages/ratios.
9. Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
10. Problem-solving skills.
11. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
