Heavy Diesel Fitter/Heavy commercial vehicle mechanic
Megamech Diesel Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Fitter to join our team in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia.
This is a full-time position with opportunities for career progression and development within our growing company.
What you'll be doing
Perform routine maintenance, repair and overhaul of heavy mining equipment and machinery
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement corrective actions
Carry out scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance activities
Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in compliance with safety regulations
Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members
What we're looking for
Qualified Heavy Diesel Fitter with a minimum of 5 years' relevant experience
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools and workshop equipment
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Demonstrated experience in a similar mining or heavy industry environment
A valid driver's licence and ability to obtain the relevant mining ticket
