CELOTTI WORKFORCE are seeking an experienced Leading Hand – Property & Maintenance to oversee the daily maintenance and grounds operations of a large Brisbane school campus. This role will be responsible for coordinating a small team, managing maintenance tasks and ensuring facilities and grounds are maintained to a high standard.
Role & Responsibilities
* Coordinating daily maintenance and grounds activities across the campus
* Supervising and supporting the Property Services and Grounds Team
* Allocating tasks and monitoring progress to ensure works are completed safely and efficiently
* Conducting inspections of buildings, grounds and facilities to identify maintenance needs
* Undertaking hands-on maintenance and grounds tasks when required
* Assisting with event set-ups and pack-downs including moving furniture and equipment
* Coordinating contractors on site and ensuring WHS compliance
* Maintaining tools, equipment and work areas to a safe and organised standard
* Responding to reactive maintenance requests and urgent facility issues

Our Ideal Candidate:
* Current driver's licence
* Blue Card for Working with Children
* Previous experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, facilities maintenance or a relevant trade
* Proven experience leading or supervising a small team
* Strong understanding of Workplace Health & Safety procedures
* Experience operating grounds maintenance equipment (mowers, trimmers, small machinery)
* Ability to prioritise tasks and manage workloads effectively
* Good communication skills and ability to work within a team environment
* Experience in a school, sporting or large campus environment is highly regarded
