Exodas Pty Ltd is a well-established and growing transport company that operates Australia wide. We predominately provide transport services to the east coast of Australia, from Nth Queensland through to Melbourne.
Head Office is located in Yatala (QLD) with depots/yards located in Melbourne, Sydney, Warnervale, Mackay, Bowen, Townsville, Tully, Innisfail and Mareeba.
Due to the retirement of our long-serving Operations Administration Team Leader we are looking for a Team Leader with strong experience in transport operations administration, and demonstrated success in leading high performing teams.
This a hands on role with a significant component of administrative tasks in addition to supervising the team of eight staff.
Key tasks include:
* Managing sub-contractor payments
* Ensuring proof of delivery paperwork is in order for payment
* Rostering of staff
* Managing team work-flows
* Liaison with customers and other transport companies
* Reporting to management
You will also support your team of administration clerks as required, so you will need to be proficient with:
* Data entry of bookings
* Updating bookings
* Manifesting delivery and pick up loads
* Liaising with clients and staff
* Daily use of excel spreadsheets
Experience in a similar role within the transport industry is essential.
To be successful you will be able demonstrate the following skills and attributes:
* Ability to lead a team
* Experience within the Transport/Logistics Sector
* Accurate and efficient data entry skills
* Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
* Strong attention to detail
* Ability to work autonomously
* Knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety responsibilities
* Ability to handle multiple priorities in an efficient manner
* Ability to work one rostered weekend day every four weeks
