We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our Colac Workshop.
Responsibilities
* Repair and maintenance of trucks and trailers
* Scheduled servicing and inspections
* Fault finding and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues
* Completing service sheets, work orders, and other documentation accurately
* Fitting and replacing parts, including brakes, suspension, tires, and hydraulics
* Overseeing vehicle safety and compliance checks
* Diagnosing complex mechanical problems and providing solutions
* Assisting apprentices or junior staff with training and guidance
* Maintaining workshop tools, equipment, and cleanliness
* Collaborating with team members to meet workshop targets and deadlines
* Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency
Criteria
* Proven experience as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic
* Experience with fleet and trailer maintenance
* Strong problem‐solving skills and attention to detail
* Team player with a proactive attitude
