The Roles & Environment
We are seeking two distinct but closely collaborative roles. Both positions require considerable independence and a deep understanding of the product lifecycle within a complex stakeholder setting.
Australian Citizenship and a current Baseline security clearance is highly desirable for both roles.
1. Product Manager (Strategic Leader)
This is a strategic leadership role focused on defining, driving, and implementing the product strategy and long-term roadmap. You will work extensively with stakeholders across the digital health landscape and government to ensure awareness, value, and uptake of the product.
Key Focus Areas & Responsibilities:
- Strategy & Vision: Develop the 3-year product roadmap and build on the product vision, focusing on capabilities that allow the viewing of digital health information.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and execute strategies to influence government agencies, jurisdictions, clinical peak bodies, and medical software developers, showcasing the product's value to the health ecosystem.
- Growth & Feedback: Develop strategies to grow product site installation numbers, obtain site feedback, and leverage that feedback to increase overall product usage.
- Agency Collaboration: Drive and partner with all business units across the Agency to capture insights and enable product uplift for healthcare providers.
- Governance & Reporting: Ensure the successful implementation of process, provide timely status reporting, manage resource allocation, and oversee project status and product roadmap updates.
- Delivery Oversight: Work closely with the Product Owner to ensure delivery of a fit-for-purpose and risk-free product solution.
1. Product Owner (Delivery Leader)
This is a leadership role focused on managing and prioritising the product backlog to ensure that business requirements are met and the design is implemented effectively. You will operate with considerable autonomy and accountability as a key resource in the core design team.
Key Focus Areas & Responsibilities:
- Backlog Management: Manage and prioritise the product backlog using proven prioritisation frameworks, ensuring the right features are built at the right time based on value.
- Requirements & User Stories: Create clear, well-understood user stories for stakeholders, technology, planning, and delivery teams.
- Design & Development Collaboration: Collaborate with Product Managers, other Product Owners, and the research and design team to evaluate customer feedback and maintenance requests, developing new and enhanced features.
- Release Management: Coordinate and participate in product development and release processes, managing the creation of release briefs for both internal and external audiences.
- Demonstration & Reporting: Perform product demonstrations for internal and external stakeholders or governance bodies and monitor, report, and improve product performance.
- Core Design Team: Responsible for ensuring business requirements are met, the design is implemented, and the solution is incorporated as part of the core design team's vision.
