About the Role
Reporting to the Team Coordinator Rostering, the Rostering Officer plays a critical role in coordinating Support Worker schedules to ensure high quality outcomes for Participants. As the primary point of contact for roster matters, you will maintain accurate, responsive and compliant rosters in a dynamic operational environment.
This is a fast-paced, high-volume, phone-based role requiring sound judgement, strong organisational skills and the ability to think on your feet.
This is a permanent full-time position.
Key responsibilities include:
* Provide professional and responsive customer service to Support Workers and internal stakeholders
* Coordinate and maintain rolling fortnightly rosters, including shift swaps, TBAs, leave coverage and staffing changes
* Ensure all vacant shifts are filled in a timely and efficient manner
* Liaise with Program Area Coordinators and the People and Culture team as required
* Ensure rostering practices comply with all relevant Industrial, Legislative and organisational requirements
* Communicate roster changes clearly and professionally
* Provide high-quality administrative support and maintain accurate records
About You:
You are a proactive and organised professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You are confident communicating with a diverse workforce and are committed to delivering reliable, solutions-focused support.
You will be able to clearly demonstrate:
* Previous experience in rostering and/or workforce scheduling
* Experience working in a fast-paced customer service or call-centre environment
* The ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines
* Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
* A professional and accountable approach to your work
* The ability to receive and apply constructive feedback
* Strong administrative and organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail
* Systems capability in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word etc.) and experience using MYP rostering software (highly desirable)
* A demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development
* An understanding of and respect for the values and philosophy of a not-for-profit organisation
A tertiary qualification in Business Administration and/or relevant experience will be highly regarded.
Successful candidates will be required to clear background checks including National Police and pre-employment medical checks, a NDIS Workers Screening Check and Working with Vulnerable Check.
