About Us GR Engineering Services Limited (GRES) is a leading process engineering consulting and contracting company that specialises in providing high quality engineering design and construction services to the mining and mineral processing industries.
We currently have multiple projects on the go and our projection for growth means we are actively looking for talent across all areas of our business.
The Opportunity We are on the lookout for an experienced Senior Process Engineer to join our Engineering Team working alongside a multidisciplinary team to deliver outstanding results across various projects in the mining and minerals industry.
Based out of our Brisbane office you would work on various projects across a variety of commodities (gold, copper, iron ore etc) with regular site visits depending on project requirements.
A typical day will consist of:
Complete the process design through analysing test work outcomes and using sound metallurgical principles for the projects under development
Process design and prepare process design information
Work with JKSimMet and SysCAD modelling software to develop process designs, mass and balance models for processes under design
Assist in the coordination of risk assessments, HAZID, HAZAN and HAZOP activities and workshops
Review designs, calculations, vendor data and study documents
Site commissioning management and performance testing
About you
A degree in Metallurgy, Metallurgical Engineering, Mineral Processing or Chemical Engineering essential
Minimum 12 years operational and/or design experience
Experience working in a mineral processing engineering, design and construction environment
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills together with sound writing skills for reports and proposals
Ability to work collaboratively to develop practical solutions to complex problems
Able to confidently make design decisions with the information available
Current National Police clearance
