Macs Engineering and Opposite Lock is a leading designer, manufacturer and distributor of medium truck bodies, light vehicle tray bodies, roll over protection systems (ROPS), 4WD equipment and accessories, laser cutting operations and other specialist vehicle componentry in Mackay.
We currently have a position for a Store Person to join our warehouse team. An immediate start and competitive terms and conditions are offered.
To be successful in this role you will have a High Risk Forklift and drivers licence, previous experience and knowledge of the vehicle accessories industry is desirable.
Duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
* Assisting warehouse leading hand
* Monitoring stock levels
* Maintaining good working relations with team members
* Receiving and unpacking orders and restocking shelves
* Pick up and deliveries
* General housekeeping, ensuring a safe working environment
* Forklift operation - ticket required
* working to a drawing and within tolerance
* Maintaining a clean and organised work environment to support efficient operations
* Willing to learn new skills and techniques to enhance your capabilities as a Store Person
* Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental policies and procedures
* Provide excellent customer service
* Operating the Laser and Press - training will be provided
* The ability to learn to operate internal computer systems
* Willingness to learn machine programming and setup procedures ( training provided for suitable candidates )
* General laboring duties
* Safety conscious attitude
* Can interpret 2D/3D drawings, crucial for precision cutting and folding
We are seeking candidates that have strong organisational skills and problem solving ability, have experience in stores activities.
