About the Role:
We are seeking reliable and motivated Trades Assistants for multiple workshop-based roles across Perth. These positions involve supporting qualified tradespeople in busy industrial and manufacturing environments and are well suited to individuals who enjoy physical work, teamwork, and developing practical skills. Opportunities are available across various sites north and south of the river, offering consistent hours and the potential for ongoing work.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist qualified tradespeople with manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, and general workshop tasks.
* Load, unload, and move materials, components, and equipment using safe manual handling techniques.
* Lift and relocate items up to 50kgs as required.
* Operate hand and power tools safely.
* Support workshop operations, including packing, preparation, and organising of materials.
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organisational work environment.
* Follow WHS procedures and report hazards or incidents.
* Work collaboratively to meet production schedules and operational requirements.
Requirements:
* Previous experience as a Trades Assistant or workshop labourer is highly regarded.
* Forklift License with experience operating a forklift is essential.
* Physically fit and capable of heavy manual lifting.
* Experience using hand and power tools.
* Strong safety awareness and understanding of WHS practices.
* Reliable and able to follow instructions.
* Valid Driver's License preferred.
* Must have unlimited working rights in Australia.
