As a senior mechanical design engineer, you will lead the mechanical design of our next-generation energy storage technology. This pivotal leadership role within our product development team will see you guiding and mentoring a talented group of mechanical engineers, shaping the technical direction of our innovative solutions, and playing a key role in the design and delivery of systems that will accelerate the clean energy transition.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leading the mechanical design and development of our energy storage technology from concept through to deployment.
* Guiding, mentoring, and supporting a team of mechanical engineers, fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and innovative culture.
* Championing creative approaches to mechanical design that ensure robust, safe, and efficient solutions.
* Working closely with colleagues across electrical, controls, and systems engineering to deliver integrated solutions.
* Contributing strategic insights to product development roadmaps and long-term technical direction.
About You: We are seeking a forward-thinking, collaborative engineer who thrives in an innovative environment and is passionate about applying their skills to solve meaningful challenges. Qualified candidates will have a bachelor's degree (or higher) in mechanical engineering, a proven track record in mechanical design within the mining, heavy industry, or energy sector, and be skilled at guiding, coaching, and inspiring engineering teams.
