We are currently seeking
two experienced, motivated and enthusiastic Senior Café Attendants
to be part of our newly established café — the
Memorial House Café
— located on the
RAAFA Estate in Bull Creek
, directly opposite the
Aviation Heritage Museum
.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of a new service and help shape a warm, community-focused café. The Memorial House Café will become a
vibrant social hub
, serving
museum visitors, volunteers, retirement living and residential care residents, and their guests alike
.
With daytime-only service, a cosy 22-seat layout, and a welcoming atmosphere, this venue is set to offer a casual, friendly experience tailored to the needs of the RAAFA and broader community.
We Are Currently Recruiting For
* 1 x Part-Time position: Monday to Friday, 9:30am–2:30pm
* 1 x Casual position: Saturday and Sunday, 10:30am–3:30pm
The Role And You
* Greeting, interacting and attending to customer's requirements
* Café-style food service for residents, staff, museum visitors and guests
* Barista duties – making quality coffee and beverages
* Preparing and serving non-alcoholic drinks
* Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the café, food prep, and service areas
* Monitoring and rotating stock, restocking supplies as needed
* Cash handling, register use, and daily balancing
* Providing guidance or supervision to support staff when present
* Supporting the set-up and success of this newly established café
* Representing The RAAFA Way through genuine, community-oriented service
What You Need To Do
* Must Have RSA
* Significant barista experience and/or certification
* Have a valid Drivers Licence
* Update your resume
* Be eligible to work in Australia
* Satisfactory National Police Certificate (on commencement of employment to be within six months from date of issue) or willing to obtain one
* Be up to date with your COVID 19 and flu vaccinations or willing to obtain
