Overview

Location: Dubbo, Orange, Bathurst or Broken Hill

Full time permanent contract

Western NSW Primary Health Network (WNSW PHN) is currently seeking a motivated individual who has a passion for primary healthcare and community wellbeing.

The Project Officer Primary Care Codesign and Integration contributes to Western NSW Primary Health Network's (WNSW PHN's) mission to improve person-centred primary healthcare by supporting the co-design, planning, and implementation of initiatives that respond to regional health needs. The role strengthens the organisation's strategic priorities by delivering practical project management, stakeholder engagement, facilitation, and coordination capabilities. Through this work, the Project Officer helps develop collaborative, evidence informed solutions that improve access, quality, and integration across the primary care system, ultimately supporting improved health outcomes for communities throughout Western NSW.

Reporting to the Senior Manager Partnerships and Strategic Projects, this role will work collaboratively with teams across the Primary Health Care Integration & Reform portfolio, as well as other functions within the organisation.

The position can be based in any one of our offices including, Dubbo, Orange, Bathurst or Broken Hill.

The salary for this position is Level 3, Grade 4 ($101,324 + superannuation).

Selection Criteria

* Tertiary qualifications in project management, health management, community development, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
* Proven experience supporting project delivery in health, community services, or related sectors.
* Demonstrated ability to design and facilitate structured workshops, co-design sessions, and collaborative planning forums with diverse stakeholders.
* Knowledge of the primary healthcare environment, particularly in regional, rural, or remote contexts
* High-level interpersonal skills, along with the flexibility, adaptability, and agility to work effectively in dynamic, multi-stakeholder environments.
* Proficient with project management tools and common software applications
* Capacity to travel within Western and Far West NSW and hold a current driver's licence.
* Experience working in rural or remote health settings.
* Experience in health, NGO, or community services sectors.
* Experience in working with Aboriginal people, organisations and communities in view of planning and implementing services and achieving outcomes for Aboriginal people.
* Knowledge and practical understanding of mixed methods research approaches, including the integration of quantitative and qualitative data for evaluation and service improvement.
