We are seeking an experienced and reliable Weekend Relief Manager to join our team on a casual basis covering our General Managers days off on Saturdays and Sundays.
About the Role
As the Weekend Relief Manager, you will take over the operation of the hotel, handling all check ins and check outs, any afterhours calls or emergencies, managing housekeepers and ensuring smooth hotel operations, excellent guest service, and efficient team management across all departments.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage daily hotel operations during weekend shifts
* Perform all front office and reception operations
* Handle guest check-ins, check-outs, and guest enquiries
* Manage reservations and booking systems (RMS experience highly regarded)
* Supervise housekeeping operations and room allocations
* Coordinate maintenance requests and follow-up issues
* Ensure high presentation and cleanliness standards throughout the property
* Support and supervise staff across departments
* Handle guest complaints professionally and efficiently
* Monitor occupancy, arrivals, departures, and operational requirements
* Ensure workplace health, safety, and hotel compliance standards are maintained
* Provide excellent customer service and create a positive guest experience
Skills & Experience
* 3–5 year’s experience in hotel administration, supervisory, or management roles
* Previous hotel or motel management experience preferred
* Experience using RMS booking system highly regarded
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* Ability to work independently and manage weekend operations
* Excellent problem-solving and organisational skills
* Professional presentation and customer-focused attitude

* Onsite accommodation for the nights required to cover our General Managers days off (usually Friday and Saturday nights but may vary) plus overnight allowance
* Paid hourly rate for hours worked to operate reception (8am – 6pm Sat & Sun) plus applicable penalty rates.
