Forklift Operator - Night Shift - (WAR )
Description
Take your Forklift Skills to the next level Followmont Transport is currently seeking skilled Forklift Operators to join our night shift team in Cairns. As a valued member of the team you will play a key role in moving freight with a focus on safely loading and unloading B-Double Trailers & Tautliner Trucks, zoning and scanning tasks as well as reporting and customer service.
Best suited to a motivated individual that has proven experience in transport or forklift operation.
The Opportunity
* Full time | Monday to Friday Roster
* Night shift | 12:00am Start with overtime at penalty rate available
* Efficiently unload general freight from body trucks & trailers and ensure placed in the correct zone to ensure no misdirects.
* Strapping and securing freight trailers while sorting freight when required.
Qualifications
* Strong commitment to Safety, compliance and following operating procedures
* Must be value aligned, Followmont Transport operate as a Family Business committed to Service, Unity, Passio, Integrity, Innovation and Care
* Must hold a valid and current High Risk Work Licence - Forklift
* Previous experience in transport of freight or equipment with loading and unloading from body trucks and trailers (desirable)
* Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
* Able to complete a Criminal History Check upon successful interview
