A full time, permanent opportunity has become available in our Bupa Dental Care (BDC) Contract Management and Governance team. This is a hybrid role and will be based out of our Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane office locations when not working from home. Reporting to the General Manager Contract Management and Governance (GM CM&G), you will take ownership for all aspects of Bupa Dental Care Clinical Governance, including leadership, development, management, and implementation of quality clinical practice standards and providing effective clinical governance through compliance with Bupa policies, relevant legislation, regulation agencies and work instructions. How will I help? Key accountabilities include but are not limited to:
1. Ensuring all incidents are reported and managed and that any agreed corrective actions are completed by the responsible person(s) within the designated timeframe
2. Working closely with the Head Dentist to track progress and provide updates on any changes to priorities or strategy.
3. Responsibility for all Clinical Governance contractual documentation and managing all clinical internal reporting obligations.
4. Coordination and overseeing agreed audit and compliance monitoring activities from internal and external parties and assisting practices to complete any agreed required actions within the designated agreed time frames.
5. Managing all BDC Clinical Governance Internal Controls and Risk Management Assessment (ICRMA) requirements.
6. Monitoring, in conjunction with the Head Dentist, the effectiveness of corrective/preventive action programs.
7. Managing initial and ongoing credentialing activities involving Bupa contracted health practitioners including AHPRA PIE and manage Credentialing audits in line with the BDC Quality Management Plan.
8. Building and maintaining strong relationships with all key stakeholders, with a focus on supporting the safe operation of the Bupa Dental clinical and business models.
9. Staying abreast of regulatory and legislative change within the dental and healthcare industries.

What do I need?
12. Bachelor of Dental Surgery or equivalent and current AHPRA registration
13. Post graduate qualification in health management, clinical governance, clinical quality assurance, quality improvement, clinical audit, or related discipline highly regarded
14. A high level of clinical control management experience, along with a proven background in governance and quality assurance. S
15. Experience in applying risk and assurance frameworks to drive successful business outcomes and contractual obligations, ideally in a multidisciplinary, networked organisation.
16. Leadership and people management experience with demonstrable record of driving engagement and performance, ideally with a geographically dispersed team.
17. Ability to have difficult, robust and influential conversations, coupled with proven experience managing complex relationships with client and subcontractors effectively.
18. Skilled in the ability to influence, negotiate, convince and persuade through your highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
19. A high standard of written and presentation skills and good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
20. Experience of report writing for submission at senior/board level.
