About the role
As a Specialist MRI Radiographer at Flinders Medical Centre, you'll play a vital role in delivering high-quality imaging that supports accurate diagnosis, treatment planning and exceptional patient care. Working within a dedicated MRI unit, you'll perform a full scope of MRI procedures across adult, paediatric, cardiac, breast and neonatal specialties—often applying advanced clinical judgement and innovative scanning techniques. Your expertise ensures patients receive safe, timely and compassionate care while supporting radiologists, surgeons and referring clinicians with imaging that truly informs clinical outcomes.
You'll thrive as part of a supportive and skilled multidisciplinary team where collaboration, learning and professional growth are embedded in everyday practice. Alongside your MRI responsibilities, you'll contribute to developing others by updating training materials and providing one-to-one coaching to fellow radiographers. This is a dynamic, multi-skilled role that also includes rotating through other imaging areas, offering variety and the opportunity to broaden your experience while making a meaningful impact across the wider Medical Imaging service.
About You
You're an experienced MRI Radiographer who brings advanced clinical skill, sound judgement and a genuine commitment to safe, high-quality imaging. You thrive in a dynamic environment, enjoy working collaboratively, and take pride in delivering care that supports the best possible outcomes for patients.
* You hold recognised radiography qualifications, current AHPRA registration, a Radiation Licence and Level 1 AIR MRI Accreditation.
* You're a confident, independent operator with strong MRI expertise, including advanced skills in at least one subspecialty area.
* You're proactive, adaptable and solutions-focused, with the ability to use contemporary technology and contribute to training or quality improvement initiatives.
