The Quality, Safety and Governance Division is looking for a Medico-Legal Advisor to join their team. In this role you will be responsible for the flow of information between the ACT Government Solicitor and our insurer, the ACT Insurance Authority, from a medico-legal perspective. The role will also provide support to team members involved in medico-legal processes across all CHS and assist with delivering education as required.
Responsibilities
You will be expected to:
* Act as the liaison between the ACT Government Solicitor and the ACT Insurance Authority regarding medico-legal matters.
* Support team members in medico-legal processes across all CHS.
* Deliver education sessions related to medico-legal procedures and compliance.
* Maintain effective communication with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
We are seeking a motivated and adaptable professional who performs well in a small, collaborative team environment. Requirements include:
* Well‑developed interpersonal skills and the ability to build and sustain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Sound judgement and the ability to think strategically while managing competing priorities in a complex environment.
Employment Details
This is a temporary position available for a period of six months with the possibility of extension and/or permanency. Prior to commencement, successful candidates will be required to:
* Accept the temporary status subject to ACTPS employment framework provisions.
* Be available for compliance with the Fair Work Act related temporary contracts.
