About the role
We are seeking a Processing Superintendent to lead and manage the processing team on site, working an 8/6 FIFO roster from Perth. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all processing operations at the Three Mile Hill gold processing plant, ensuring activities are carried out safely and efficiently to achieve production, cost, and performance targets.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide visible leadership to promote and sustain a strong safety culture across all processing operations.
* Ensure full compliance with WHS, environmental, and statutory obligations, including incident reporting and investigation requirements.
* Lead and manage the operations team to deliver production targets, recovery performance, and plant availability.
* Ensure the processing plant operates efficiently through effective resource allocation, planning, and coordination.
* Oversee the collection, validation, and reporting of operational data to support decision‐making and compliance.
* Ensure adequate resourcing of operations, including management of contractors within budget constraints.
* Maintain high standards of housekeeping, environmental compliance, and asset care across the plant.
* Ensure compliance with gold‐room security protocols and governance requirements.
* Ensure the Tailings Storage Facility (TSF) is operated in accordance with statutory and company requirements.
* Collaborate with maintenance and technical teams to prioritise work and minimise impact to production.
* Support the development of operational budgets and forecasts and ensure alignment with business objectives.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant efficiency, recovery, and cost performance.
* Ensure training, competency, and compliance requirements are met across the operations team.
* Provide leadership, coaching, and development for supervisors and operators.
* Perform additional duties as required to support site operations.
* Run projects when required in the processing department.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
* Qualifications in Process Plant Operations, Metallurgy, or a related discipline.
* Experience with ERP and operational systems (e.g. Pronto, People Tray).
* Demonstrated experience in continuous improvement and cost optimisation initiatives.
* Current Australian manual driver's licence.
* Strong capability in coaching, mentoring, and developing leadership capability.
* Minimum 9+ years' experience in mineral processing operations, including significant exposure to gold processing.
* Demonstrated experience in leadership roles, including supervision of supervisors and operational teams.
* Proven ability to manage production performance, budgets, and operational planning.
* Strong understanding of processing plant operations, maintenance coordination, and metallurgical principles.
* Sound knowledge of WHS legislation and risk management practices.
* Experience in incident investigation methodologies (e.g. ICAM or equivalent).
