Over 50 years since Roger Drake purchased his first supermarket in 1974, Drakes Supermarkets has now become the largest independent grocery retailer in Australia. About this opportunity
Our Rosewood store is currently looking for a motivated and hard working applicant, to join and lead the store's meat department.
Reporting directly to the Store Manager, this successful applicant will be responsible for managing a small team, creating rosters, generating orders, completing stock takes + much more!
Working as a part of an enthusiastic team, in a highly competitive supermarket environment, applicants will be expected to demonstrate :
Possess an Australian trade qualification in Butchery (essential)
Fresh food retail knowledge is desired
Ability to lead and manage a team
Ability to order and control costs
An excellent understanding of gross profit calculations
Accurateteam rostering
Passion and enthusiasm, with a very "hands on" approach
Unparalleled commitment to customer service
Excellent communication skills
Ability to liaise with both team members and management
A flair for merchandising
Strong leadership and delegation skills
Ability to coach, train and performance manage teams
Commitment to work health and safety standard
