As a specialist in contract management for clinical trials, you will negotiate and execute complex non-standard contracts relating to research activities.
You will supervise and support a team of officers and assist with difficult issues and escalations.
Closely collaborate with researchers across the institution, leveraging engagement and communication skills to contribute to excellence.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Reporting to the Clinical Trials Manager
2. Managing the end-to-end process of drafting, negotiating, and executing complex clinical trial contracts using standard templates
3. Acting as an escalation point for officers on complex issues
4. Consulting with the Office of General Counsel regarding legal issues related to non-standard contracts
5. Liaising with researchers to gather relevant information and provide strategic guidance on clinical trial contracting
6. Applying legal advice to mitigate risks and ensure compliance while supporting research objectives
7. Evaluating and reviewing team processes, leading continuous improvement initiatives
About You
* Experience in reviewing and executing legal contracts is essential
* A background in clinical trials and an interest in science, medical, or health research is desirable
* Understanding of clinical trial regulations and experience negotiating research contracts within complex organizations
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize in a busy environment with strict deadlines
* Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and guide researchers on contractual matters
