Midwife in Community Nursing
The role of a Midwife in Community Nursing is to provide high-quality care and support to women and families within their homes. This includes antenatal and postnatal care, working in partnership with the woman, her healthcare providers, and the birthing hospital.
This position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
* Provide domiciliary maternity care and support to women and families
* Work in partnership with women, their healthcare providers, and the birthing hospital
* Assess and manage the health needs of women and their babies
* Develop and implement individualized care plans
* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
Requirements:
* Registered Nurse Division 1 Midwife certification from AHPRA
* Minimum two years post-graduate experience in midwifery settings
* Vaccination against Covid-19 strongly encouraged
