Why Your Role Matters
As part of our Student Administrative Services Team (SAS) under the portfolio of Student Life and Experience, you will be supporting students from admission through to graduation. Two additional officers will focus on our key client – the Department of Defence. We are looking for someone who is team-minded and values excellent customer service and accuracy. You will receive full training and development in this role.
Accountabilities
* Responding to enquiries from internal and external customers (in-person, telephone and written), initiating appropriate action and referring as appropriate.
* Participating in graduation ceremonies, careers markets, open days, orientation and other events.
* Providing administrative support across all student administration functions including but not limited to admission, enrolment, credit, assessment, scheduling and graduation.
* Contributing to the maintenance of systems, processes and procedures within SAS.
* Bringing a high-energy personality with a passion for customer service and a drive to create a positive, team-focused environment.
Who You Are (skills and experience)
* Relevant administrative experience, including the ability to consult and liaise with internal and external stakeholders at varying levels of authority.
* Experience drafting correspondence and briefing notes both independently and as part of a team.
* An understanding of tertiary education.
* Demonstrated high level communication ability, including interacting effectively and respectfully with people from differing backgrounds on technical and non-technical levels.
* Ability to establish priorities and manage moderately complex tasks with attention to detail and accuracy.
* Highly developed organisational skills and the ability to work within strict deadlines in a busy and varied office environment.
* Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, databases, internet and email, and the ability to learn and implement new systems.
* Ability to work on-site 5 days per week.
