This isn't a full list, of course—we feel we have a lot to offer you
Role Snapshot
We are seeking an experienced Senior Landscape Architect to join our Design team, working alongside Civil Engineers, Urban Designers, Planners, Surveyors and Architects. You will play a key role in delivering innovative, high-quality designs that are practical to construct and facilitate the management of projects from detailed documentation through to construction.
Our landscape team is a small team within a larger multi-disciplinary business. This role would best suit a landscape architect with previous land development experience across the growth areas in Victoria working on smaller subdivisions to larger estates. A fundamental skillset required of this position is technical proficiency in the delivery of works packages across a variety of open spaces (including wetlands) and streetscapes. Experience working with Councils and Melbourne Water including knowledge of their processes will be essential to manage our existing portfolio.
Note: This is a remote role, and you must be comfortable working from home. Should we also mention there is opportunity to work from the office when desired.
How You Will Contribute
* Support the design and delivery phases of projects across greenfield, medium-to-high-density residential, commercial, industrial, and community facilities.
* Prepare outcomes compliant with Council subdivision processes and Melbourne Water requirements, including:
*
o Town Planning Documentation and approvals
*
o Working Drawings and Construction Documentation
*
o Tender phase deliverables (AS4000)
*
o Construction and contract management
*
o Defects Liability Period supervision
* Manage projects effectively, including fee proposals, client communication, contractor and council consultations.
* Provide AutoCAD guidance, uphold drafting standards, and mentor junior team members.
* Collaborate with internal teams to deliver outstanding multidisciplinary project outcomes.
Our Ideal Person
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
* Previous experience in land development from a small to medium size consultancy with advanced practical knowledge of landscape architecture and common horticultural techniques
* Positive 'can do' attitude and are an all-rounder. Happy to both help lead/coordinate a project as well as produce documentation from detail design through construction
* An accredited degree in Landscape Architecture. AILA accreditation will be looked upon favourably but not essential
* 7–10 years' experience across residential and industrial subdivision projects
* Strong construction knowledge, contractor and council negotiation skills
* Advanced skillset in AutoCAD and Excel for documentation and contract management
* Excellent project management, client liaison, and team collaboration abilities.
* A proactive, flexible approach and the ability to work remotely for a Melbourne-based firm.
