We are seeking an enthusiastic Field Service Technician, qualified in Electronics, Electrical or Instrumentation technician or engineer, ideally with previous field experience.
Experience in Flood monitoring and hydrography is advantageous.

- Automatic Weather Stations (AWS)
- Sea Level Monitoring Stations
- Wave Buoys
- Satellite ground reception and space weather instruments
- Wave height buoys
- Flood warning / rainfall monitoring systems
- Communications, telemetry and instrumentation systems
The position of responsibility encompasses all of Victoria.
**The responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to**:
**Maintenance & Operations**:Undertake routine and detailed operational diagnostics, fault finding, repair and return to service of field equipment. Verify the performance of meteorological instruments.
**Documentation & Record Keeping**:Prepare operational and technical maintenance reports and associated documentation.
**Travel**:Travel away from your home base by air, sea and road, will be required to support operations.
**Liaison and Representation**:Liaise with various internal and external stakeholders at the appropriate level.
**Other Relevant Duties**:Undertake other relevant duties as required, such as new site selection, installations, decommissioning of assets, project support and work package delivery.
**SELECTION CRITERIA**
- Demonstrated electronics, electrical, communication or instrumentation skills
- Demonstrated willingness to travel regularly overnight using multiple modes of transport.
- Responds positively to change.
- Takes responsibility for managing work projects, balancing workload with competing priorities.
**Mandatory Requirements**:
A Certificate III (AQF Level 3 or above) electronics, electrical or Instrumentation preferred from an Australian educational institution, or a comparable overseas qualification, which is appropriate to the duties, OR Relevant experience and training, which enables the employee to competently perform the duties at this level, OR Other comparable qualifications, which are appropriate to the duties
