What's the Role?
As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will lead complex activities and tasks relating to ICT infrastructure projects. Your responsibilities will span requirements development, system definition, design and development, integration, verification, and validation. You will plan, organise, integrate, and deliver complex systems engineering services and products, while working cohesively with the broader project team, business partners, and stakeholders. Your contribution will directly influence capability outcomes and the successful delivery of critical Defence ICT programs.
Who You Are
You're an experienced systems engineer with a structured and methodical approach to solving complex engineering challenges. You thrive in high-stakes environments and are confident working both independently and as part of an integrated project team. With strong Defence program experience, you are comfortable engaging with stakeholders, contributing to project planning, and ensuring technical integrity across the full lifecycle of ICT infrastructure projects.
What You'll Bring
·Engineering Expertise: Proven experience in ICT infrastructure systems engineering, including requirements analysis, design, integration, verification, and validation.
·Defence Know-How: Strong background in Defence programs, with an understanding of capability development, acquisition, and sustainment pathways.
·Stakeholder Engagement: Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, senior Defence stakeholders, and technical leads.
·Technical Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex engineering and integration issues.
·Documentation & Governance: Experience preparing system designs, configuration management plans, maintenance plans, and technical documentation that meet Defence standards.
·Qualifications: Degree-qualified in engineering or ICT disciplines, with relevant certifications (e.g., CPEng, RPEQ) highly regarded.
·Security Clearance: Our client has outlined that the suitable candidate must have a TSPV Clearance.
