Job Overview
The primary responsibility of a Runner is to deliver food from the kitchen to guests as quickly and efficiently as possible, ensuring timely and organized delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver food and beverages in an efficient manner.
* Facilitate communication between servers and culinary teams.
* Guarantee quality and accuracy of all orders.
* Monitor and observe guest dining experiences, responding to requests and ensuring satisfaction.
* Maintain overall cleanliness of restaurants and service areas.
* Assist bussers with clearing tables during peak periods.
* Provide guidance on dining options and general information about the establishment.
Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent required.
* Minimum one year of experience in food and beverage industry as busser or food runner.
* Ability to skillfully carry multiple plates for long distances.
* Excellent knowledge of food and beverage preparations, table settings, and guest relations.
* Ability to work independently or in a team setting, under pressure and with excellent time management skills.
