Social Futures assists those experiencing homelessness by providing supportive and safe temporary accommodation. We operate a 24/7 residential location in the Tweed that ensures the continuity of safety and security for those accessing temporary accommodation as well as assisting the program staff with administrative tasks.

To be successful, you will have the ability to work unsupervised shifts and have an understanding of working with people experiencing homelessness or complex needs, can work collaboratively with key stakeholders, and actively monitor the site.
**As an Accommodation Support Officer - Tweed Accommodation Supports, you will**:
- Undertake checks on the property, monitor on-site activities, and implement emergency response protocols
- Use various technologies to support site and resident safety
- Undertake administrative duties to provide end of shift handover, incident reporting, and support program staff
- Provide accommodation support to residents including replacement of security keys
We have a part-time position available for evening shifts totalling 14 hours, plus the opportunity for additional hours. This role would be suitable for people studying Diploma of Community Services, Social Work Degree or similar who are looking to build their understanding of working in the community sectors.
If you have relevant skills and experience working in the homelessness or related sector/industry and are a passionate individual dedicated to making positive change in the community, this is the role for you.
- Understanding of working with people with complex or high needs, or with people experiencing homelessness and managing own boundaries
- Demonstrated experience working in an administrative role with the capacity to complete tasks as directed within timeframes and reporting guidelines
- Capacity and willingness to work on a rotating shift basis, including active night and weekend shifts
- Well-developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people and provide relevant and accurate information to stakeholders
- Demonstrated emergency or crisis response experience along with a mature, compassionate, common-sense approach to working with people with complex needs.
- Demonstrated organisational, time management and administrative skills with the ability to plan, prioritise and meet deadlines
- Ability to use technology including security systems to effectively undertake a wide range of administrative functions
