Job Summary:
This Electrical Maintenance Technician role plays a vital part in ensuring the safety, reliability, and readiness of our locomotives, rail cars, wagons, plant, and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Maintaining and repairing locomotives and rolling stock to meet performance standards
* Carrying out routine and corrective maintenance, as well as fault repairs using best practices
* Complying with Workplace Health and Safety regulations and technical specifications
* Accurately recording asset conditions, maintenance activities, and costs
* Contributing to the development and enhancement of work procedures for continuous quality improvement
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* An Electrical Trade qualification or equivalent
* Proficiency in computer use
* A commitment to safe working practices
* Strong interpersonal communication skills
* Experience in repairing and maintaining locomotives and rolling stock is highly valued
* Robust fault-finding and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings
* Knowledgeable in relevant legislation, including the Workplace Health and Safety Act
