Senior OpenText Software Engineer (Developer)

About the Opportunity
We are seeking experienced Senior OpenText Software Engineers (Developers) to support a major federal government program delivering enterprise correspondence and customer communication solutions.
This role will contribute to the design, development, enhancement and support of high-volume outbound communications platforms across print and digital channels supporting critical legislative and service delivery outcomes.
The position requires a combination of hands‐on development capability and technical leadership experience across software delivery, integration and release activities.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop and maintain correspondence solutions using OpenText Exstream and/or StreamServe
* Translate complex business and legislative requirements into structured document and template designs
* Develop reusable components, scripts, rules and document frameworks
* Integrate document generation platforms with enterprise systems and output services
* Troubleshoot production issues relating to data mapping, formatting and performance
* Support testing activities including unit, system and UAT
* Contribute to release planning, deployment coordination and post‐release review
* Maintain technical design documentation and development artefacts
* Ensure compliance with security, privacy and accessibility standards
* Collaborate with architects, developers, testers and business stakeholders
Skills & Experience Required
* Strong experience developing solutions using OpenText Exstream and/or StreamServe
* Experience delivering enterprise document generation and correspondence platforms
* Experience with variable data printing and template‐driven communications
* Proficiency in data mapping across formats such as XML, JSON, delimited and columnar files
* Development experience using technologies such as Java, .NET or mainframe scripting languages
* Experience supporting release management, deployment and software configuration activities
* Strong software design capability and ability to contribute to integration frameworks
* Experience leading or mentoring developers within agile delivery environments
* Experience working in large enterprise or government environments highly regarded
Working Arrangements
* Candidates must be able to work onsite full‐time for the initial 6 weeks
* Hybrid arrangements (typically 3 days onsite per week) will be supported thereafter
* Candidates must be located within reasonable travel distance of the nominated office location
