**About the role**
A fantastic opportunity working for a large and renowned retail group has been newly created due to growth across the business. They are looking for a strong technical accountant who is also commercially and analytical minded. You will be a key player in the team supporting wider finance and other teams including sales, marketing, retail and more.
**The responsibilities**
Reporting to the Finance Manager and supporting Head of Finance & Commercial, you will be responsible for the delivery of all financial cycles including, month end, annual planning, process improvements, budgeting and forecasting, whilst providing commercial acumen across business decisions. More specifically, your role will include:
- Support operations through the provision of effective management information and analysis
- Prepare & analyse budgets and forecasts across brands
- Preparation and review of month-end processing, including reconciliations and journal entries.
- Analysis of product line & category performance
- Sales, wages and retail store reporting
- Process improvements and driving efficiencies
**The successful applicant**
- CA/CPA qualification (or almost completed).
- Experience in a financial accounting role and FP&A.;
- Experience in FMCG or retail (desired however not essential).
- Strong interpersonal, collaboration and communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
- Experience within a small and dynamic team will be considered highly advantageous.
