Payroll Specialist Role

About the Division and Team:

The Payroll Specialist plays a key role in ensuring accurate and timely completion of monthly payroll for our organisation. The team is responsible for full spectrum of payroll processes, superannuation and various employment taxes.

Your Responsibilities:

* Process end-to-end monthly payrolls with high accuracy, utilizing knowledge of payroll legislation, PAYG, superannuation, salary packaging arrangements, FBT & payroll tax.
* Prepare manual payments outside normal pay run for post-pay payments, including group tax, payroll tax, parking, motor vehicles, superannuation and manual termination payments.
* Reconcile and confirm eligibility for generous leave policies.
* Prepare monthly reconciliation of payroll clearing accounts and general ledger related activities for submission to risk management.
* Calculate and process termination payments.
* Provide excellent customer service through payroll queries via shared inbox and phone in a timely manner.
* Maintain key operating documents of all key payroll processes, with periodic reviews to ensure regulatory requirements and system changes are maintained.
* Liaise with SAP payroll system, working with ADP on system updates/issues/enhancements, raising tickets, user testing and confirming in production.

Your Skills and Experience:

* At least 5 years of relevant payroll experience.
* Open to individuals without banking or financial services industry experience but with relevant payroll and SAP experience.
* Excellent attention to detail and organization/prioritization skills.
* Thorough SAP payroll system experience.
* Ability to analyze data and information thoroughly and complete reconciliations.
* Financial account reconciliation.
* Employment taxes knowledge an advantage, i.e., Payroll tax, FBT.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to maintain employee confidentiality at all times, able to work and use discretion with confidential information.
