ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for someone who has recent experience in a Hospital Coordinator role, NUM equivalent level role or aspires to be in a senior position responsible for coordinating a dynamic private hospital.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills and demonstrates a focus and enthusiasm to be in an operational management position.
The Hospital Coordinator will work closely with our clinical teams and departmental managers to coordinate the management of the Hospital.
Applicants must be available to rotate across AM, PM and Night Duty shifts during weekdays and weekends.
This is a permanent part time role based at The Bays Hospital on Main Street, Mornington.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Coordination of bed management and patient flow
* Working with the nurse in charge in the absence of the Director Clinical Services, in achieving positive patient experience
* Ensuring that the nursing division conforms and adheres to policies and procedures and standards as recommended by statutory authorities and regulatory organisations.
* Coordination of ancillary services as required in the absence of Department Heads.
* Providing direct patient care
ABOUT YOU:
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following skills, experience and attributes:
* Division 1 Registered Nurse with AHPRA
* Minimum of three years' experience within a senior nursing role
* Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
* Ability to remain calm under pressure and to motivate yourself and others
* Critical care or Midwifery experience is desired
* Excellent time management skills
