Engineering Operations Manager – Townsville, QLD, AU
Lead day-to-day operations of the Engineering Team, oversee all maintenance programs and ensure reliability, safety and performance across all facilities.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and coordinate preventative and reactive maintenance activities across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, painting and general maintenance disciplines.
* Manage a multi-skilled team across all engineering disciplines and lead for exceptional internal customer service.
* Schedule all maintenance work to minimize inconvenience to guests, patrons and employees.
* Work closely with all departments to coordinate the preventive maintenance program for guest rooms, public areas and safety systems.
* Operate Building Management Systems to diagnose faults and adjust operating parameters in HVAC, electrical and other systems.
* Communicate and implement all statutory processes with a focus on compliance and risk management.
* Ensure efficient maintenance and servicing of all building utilities, facilities and equipment to meet daily business demands.
Qualifications
* Extensive maintenance experience within a large organisation, with project-management experience in property operations (ideally hospitality).
* Building qualification is highly regarded.
* Strong people-leadership skills and capacity to develop a team culture.
* Strong commitment to workplace health and safety, with demonstrated ability to manage staff and contractors to maintain safety standards.
* Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with key stakeholders and manage service contracts.
* Knowledge of engineering plant & equipment maintenance.
* Experience working across multiple properties (e.g., resort, entertainment centre, luxury hotel).
