Cook Shire Council is seeking a dynamic and visionary Executive Manager People and Performance to join our Executive Leadership Team (ELT). About the Role
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will:
- Lead and manage HR and WHS strategies to attract, develop, and retain top talent.
- Champion a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with the ELT to ensure organisational goals align with best practices in workforce planning and employee engagement.
- Build positive relationships with unions and stakeholders to manage industrial relations effectively.
- Drive initiatives that enhance employee wellbeing and satisfaction.
What You'll Need
- Tertiary qualifications in HR, WHS, or a related field, with at least five years' experience in a similar leadership role.
- A strong understanding of relevant legislation, including the Queensland Local Government Act and Work Health and Safety Act.
- Proven ability to lead high-performing teams and deliver change management strategies.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
