Our client is a market leader in the FMCG sector and on an exciting journey of growth and transformation, and they're looking for a passionate Automation Engineer to help lead the way in automation and control systems.
You'll have the autonomy to implement your ideas, deliver capital projects, and work hands-on with state-of-the-art manufacturing technology - all while shaping the future of one of the world's most loved product categories. Key Responsibilities Automation & Control Management:
Oversee the site's automation and controls to ensure optimal plant efficiency and reliability. Plan and execute automation projects in line with global standards, including PLC, SCADA, HMI, DCS, and servo-motion systems. Drive software optimization and maintain all programming records.
Technical Expertise & Support: Collaborate with the electrical team to troubleshoot downtime and reduce efficiency losses. Provide technical solutions for electrical, instrumentation, and control systems, ensuring compliance with safety and performance requirements.
Conduct obsolescence audits and upgrade outdated technology with modern, high-performing systems. Continuous Improvement: Support root cause analysis and leverage reliability metrics (MTBF/MTTR) to prioritise maintenance and improvement initiatives.
Participate in cross-functional teams to deliver automation capital projects and operational enhancements. Skills & Qualifications Bachelor in Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering.
Minimum 3+ years of experience of reliability and asset care engineering in manufacturing. Hands-on experience with PLC and SCADA programming. Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
Excellent communication skills with a results-driven and process-oriented mindset. Salary & Work Rights 120K - 130K + Super
