Job Title:
The Speech and Communication Therapist plays a vital role in our team by assessing, treating, educating, and managing patients with developmental speech and communication difficulties/disorders.
Key Responsibilities:
* Identify speech and communication disorders in children
* Provide education to patients, families of patients, and team members on speech and language development
* Manage a caseload, prioritizing cases based on urgency and successful outcomes
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals to improve service delivery
* Conduct swallowing assessments for inpatients and provide recommendations for care planning
Requirements and Qualifications:
* Master's degree in Speech and Language Pathology or equivalent experience
* Registered with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists
* Previous experience working with children required
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
