The Hervey Bay RSL is located on the beautiful Fraser Coast.
The Club is the premier entertainment venue in the region experiencing growth in Hervey Bay.
The Club's facilities include: 280 gaming machines, 4 bars, TAB and Keno, billiards and pool tables, child care centre, bottleshop, 3 functions rooms, 180 seat restaurant, 180 seat deck and 100 seat cafe.

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Kitchen Hand who have a bright, outgoing personality and exceptional customer service skills to ensure the smooth operation of the Hervey Bay RSL Club's back of house facilities.
Reporting to the Catering manager/Executive Chef, and Head Chef, your key responsibilities will include:
Washing of plates, crockery etc using a commercial dish washer & cleaning by hand
Cleaning of industry cooking trays, utensils & equipment in pot wash area
Cleaning down of bench tops, floors etc using correct chemicals & cleaning to the industry standards
Taking down rubbish & cardboard to correct designated areas
Food service- when doing pot wash side you are required to also be a food runner which involves use of ovens & taking food out to the front display
Prep- you could be asked to help with food prep- slicing tomatoes, cucumbers making salads etc
Working as a team & following direct order from your supervisors
Ability to stand for extended periods
Time management and strong organisational skills to ensure efficient workflow
This role has casual hours, with a weekly roster.
Shifts range from early morning starts to very late finishing times.
Must be available days, nights, weekends, public holidays and split shifts.
About you
As someone with previous experience in the hospitality industry, you will possess a passion for delivering a high standard of hygiene and food safety.
To be considered for this role, you MUST have relevant experience, skills and knowledge of the hospitality industry and required certificates.

Be a strong team member, willing to adapt to change and follow directions
Work effectively with other kitchen stall, including chefs and cooks to ensure smooth operations of the kitchen wash up area
Cleaning and Sanitation - Maintain a clean, organised, and sanitized kitchen
Food Safety - follow all food safety guidelines and procedures to prevent and maintain a hygienic environment
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels with a range of different people
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Experience and Qualifications
Minimum 1 year experience
Must be eligible to gain a National Police Certificate for employment
Current Food Handlers Certificate
