Primary objective
Identify, translate, improve, and document operational workflow processes to be facilitated by the CARE Client Management System and 360 View
of the Child Solution; and develop, facilitate, broker, and deliver multi-modal training and other professional staff development programs relating
to these information technology systems and how they support frontline, corporate and workforce development strategies.
Context statement
The CARE Business Alignment Unit brings together a range of functions to support and sustain the CARE and 360VoC systems. CARE Training
Facilitators and Business Alignment Specialists provide contextualised training and support to the staff working across child protection, youth
justice, adoptions, and child related payments in the Northern Territory and facilitate ongoing system improvement and development.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Develop and manage the implementation of workforce education, training, and development relevant to DCF's information technology and
case management systems utilised by the agency.
2. Provide advice on training priorities, modalities and strategies that will improve the delivery of training services relevant to the information
technology and case management systems utilised by the agency.
3. Work with other government and non-government organisations who intersect or will intersect with DCF's information technology and case
management systems to develop service specific multi-modal training for those agency's/non-government organisation's needs.
4. Review training packages developed for DCF's case management system and build upon, adapt, and create new content as required.
1. Identify and prepare functional specification artefacts to communicate complex business requirements to system vendors and developers.
2. Organise workshops to consult key stakeholders on the modification of existing information systems or the development and implementation
of new information systems and to clarify Information Technology (IT) issues and requirements.
7. Prepare and present briefings, reports, and recommendations on system development initiatives, and maintain relevant training, project, and
contract management data.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Experience with computer software or systems training delivery in a corporate or government environment with a proven ability to facilitate
multimodal training, workshops, meetings, and other internal and external group learning sessions.
2. Proven ability to review, build upon and implement new content to existing information technology tools and systems' training packages to
internal staff and external providers of varying skills and ability.
1. Experience in developing information systems specifications reflecting business process and design.
2. Proven ability to use strategic, conceptual, and analytical skills to identify and develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
3. Experience in management of complex projects, including planning, budgeting, reviewing, assessing, and reporting on programs.
4. Proven ability to influence, implement and manage change to meet organisational directions and encourage others to develop new ideas and
methods of operating in relation to the delivery of workforce development programs.
7. High-level ability to provide advice to executive management on strategic staff development initiatives.
1. High level oral and written communication skills including the ability to effectively negotiate, consult, collaborate, and build strong professional
working relationships with colleagues, external partners (government and non-government), and the community and industry representatives.
9. Driver's licence and ability to travel to regional and remote locations including in small aircrafts.
Desirable
1. Knowledge of the role and function of the Department or ability to gain in a timely manner.
2. Experience with computer software or systems training delivery in a corporate or government environment.
3. Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or other tertiary qualification in human services, social sciences, public policy, or related field.
