A brand-new, purpose-built orthopaedic day-stay surgical facility is set to open in late 2025 in Wellington – and we’re now recruiting skilled Registered Nurses to join the founding theatre team.
You’ll be part of a supportive, tight-knit clinical team where your voice matters, your experience is valued, and your contribution shapes the culture from day one. This is nursing that respects your time, energy, and well-being.

What You’ll Do
- Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care in orthopaedic surgeries
- Work alongside anaesthetic, PACU, and day-stay teams to ensure seamless patient journeys
- Support a new standard of surgical excellence with best-practice care
- Maintain excellent documentation, compliance, and patient safety
- Contribute to a culture of compassion, collaboration, and quality
What You’ll Bring
- Registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand and a current Annual Practising Certificate
- Minimum 2 years’ orthopaedic theatre nursing experience
- Sound clinical judgement and calm under pressure
- Strong communication and a proactive, team-oriented mindset
- Openness to shaping new systems and working in a developing environment
