About the role
Located in Mackay and reporting to the Support Manager or Service Leader, you will work within the Purpose and Values of Aruma. You will be part of a high performing Support Team working towards delivering a positive customer experience to those in our care. We have several casual opportunities available with conversion to permanent for the right candidates.

* Provide direct care within a residential setting, ensuring a safe and nurturing home-like environment and promoting positive family relationships
* You will have resilience to work within a trauma-informed framework that makes a real difference with young people who have complex needs and challenging behaviours

What you’ll need
* Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention (Residential Care), or equivalent (click here to view more details) or working towards
* Valid Australian full driver’s licence, for the state you have applied for
* Valid Australian working rights
* Willingness to complete a Child Safety and Personal Screening Check
* Hold (or are willing to obtain) a Working With Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, First Aid and CPR qualifications.
Skills and experience
* Availability to work any rostered shifts across a 24/7 roster model, including awake nights and sleepovers
* You are passionate about supporting young people who have experienced trauma and have a disability
