Farm Maintenance Technician

About the Role
We are seeking a mechanically minded farm maintenance Technician to join our team, supporting a variety of broiler chicken farms. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands‐on work, problem‐solving and variety – no two days are the same.
As part of our maintenance team, your work is critical in ensuring smooth farm operations and contributes to the reliable and sustainable production of food for the wider community.
Key Responsibilities
* Small welding tasks (complex welding completed in our workshop)
* Repairing minor water leaks
* Fan repairs and servicing
* Feed pipe repairs
* General poultry house maintenance including repairing winch cables, replacing motors and gearboxes
* General farm maintenance duties as required
About You
* Mechanically minded with a practical, hands‐on approach
* A true jack of all trades who enjoys variety and learning new skills
* Experience or trade qualifications are an advantage but not essential
* Willingness to learn and work safely in a farm environment
* Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently
Car and Licence is a must
Strong ownership of a valid driver licence and ability to operate farm vehicles.

Working Hours
* Monday to Friday – 38 hours per week
* Flexible working hours between 5:00 am and 7:00 pm
* Weekend emergency work shared through an on‐call roster
