Counterhand / deli assistant

Barbaro Butchers are seeking a CounterHand / Deli Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be providing excellent customer service and assisting with the day-to-day operations of our busy butcher shop.

• Greet and assist customers, answering their questions and helping them select the best products for their needs
• Prepare and package their meat items
• Operate the cash register and handle transactions
• Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the counter and display areas
• Restock shelves and fridges as needed
• Provide excellent customer service and create a positive shopping experience for our customers

• Previous experience in a customer service or retail role, preferably in a food service or deli environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with customers and provide exceptional service
• Ability to work efficiently and multitask in a fast‐paced environment
• Good organisational and time management skills
• Friendly, positive, and helpful attitude
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekend
